American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-SF -2001) had a great game in the last round for Brumas de Jinotega and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 23-year old had a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Real Esteli (#2, 3-1) 76-61. Brumas maintains the 6th position in Nicaraguan LSB. Brumas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Gordon has many years of experience at Brumas, through which he has constantly improved. Oklahoma Christian University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gordon is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.5ppg. Gordon is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg,2.3spg and 52.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185-G-1992) of Costa Caribe Managua. Matos impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Costa Caribe to another comfortable win outscoring Indigenas (#8, 0-4) 119-62. This victory allowed Costa Caribe to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Matos is one of the most experienced players at Costa Caribe and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 8.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Francisco Alvarez (SG) of Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (#5). Alvarez scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Alvarez's great performance the UNI Basket lost 64-93 to the league's current leader Jaguares (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing UNI Basket needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Alvarez has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 18.3rpg (#1 in league).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
