An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Leon. Third ranked Brumas faced their biggest opponent UNAN de. Guests from Jinotega (6-2) defeated host UNAN de (6-3) 85-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UNAN de L.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Brumas forced 21 UNAN de turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-2001, college: Oklah.Christian) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. American Glenn Sanabria (180-1996, college: SFC) chipped in 14 points and 13 assists. Dominican center Jose Familia (201-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brumas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. UNAN de at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost.
Undefeated leader Jaguares delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Indigenas (1-7) 90-85 in Managua. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Kevin Andino contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Tylan Tylan (185-1999, college: Rogers St.) answered with 32 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for Indigenas. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Jaguares. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Indigenas at the other side keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Leones.
The game in Matagalpa was also quite interesting. Third ranked Brumas (6-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Indigenas (1-7). Brumas did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 100-82 on Tuesday. It was a great evening for Antonio Gordon who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side Tylan Tylan responded with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Indigenas' coach Jjimmy Smith rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Brumas. They moved-up to second place. Loser Indigenas keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Leones.

Real Esteli was crushed by UNAN de in Leon 98-60. UNAN de beat Leones at home 102-91. Tigres were destroyed by Real Esteli on the opponent's court 101-70. UNI Basket lost to defending champion Costa Caribe in a home game 62-94.

There was no surprise in Leon where 5th ranked Real Esteli (5-3) was crushed by second ranked UNAN de (6-3) 98-60 on Sunday. UNAN de outrebounded Real Esteli 62-39 including a 42-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. UNAN de looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Real Esteli's players. It was a great evening for Dominican Xavier dela Rosa (196-1991) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals. Dominican center Jose Familia (201-1998) helped adding 22 points and 17 rebounds. Four UNAN de L. players scored in double figures. UNAN de L.'s coach Carlos Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side center Ponce Ferguson (-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and the former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) scored 15 points. Despite that victory UNAN de went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Real Esteli keeps the fifth place with three games lost.
