The former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for Real Esteli in the defeat. Leones maintains seventh place with 3-8 record. Real Esteli at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Leones will play against higher ranked Brumas (#4) in Jinotega in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Esteli will play at home against Brumas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
LSB top team - Jaguares (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Tigres (3-7) in Managua 119-80. The best player for the winners was Tyler Gaskins who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ezequiel Colon who recorded 27 points and 8 rebounds. Undefeated Jaguares have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Loser Tigres keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Jaguares' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Managua to the arena Costa Caribe.
