Wade number one in Nicaragua LSB for round 12

American Swingman Deondre Wade (194-G/F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Leones ALMA de Managua, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The player had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Indigenas (#8, 2-12) 103-91. Leones is placed at 6th position in Nicaraguan LSB. Leones is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-10 record. In the team's last game Wade had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Leones' top player in his first season with the team. Former Seminole State College star has very solid stats this year. Wade is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.8ppg. Wade is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.0rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Puerto Rican Owens Perez (206-F/C-1992) of Costa Caribe Managua. Perez had a very good evening with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Costa Caribe lost that game 74-89 to slightly lower-ranked Brumas (#4, 10-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Costa Caribe still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 11-4 record is not bad at all. Perez is a newcomer at Costa Caribe, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 11.0rpg and 4.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Dean Tylan (185-G-1999) of Indigenas de Matagalpa (#8). Tylan scored 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Tylan's great performance the Indigenas lost 91-103 to slightly higher-ranked Leones (#6, 5-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Indigenas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Tylan has individually a great season in Nicaragua. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (6th best) and assists with 5.1apg (7th best).
