Peralta's 31-point game gives her Player of the Week award

21-year old forward Shannen Peralta (F-2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Tipitapa Deportes Managua and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had the game-high 31 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Tipitapa in her team's victory, helping them to beat Real Esteli (#3, 6-5) 84-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tipitapa to consolidate first place in the Nicaraguan LSBF. Tipitapa has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. In the team's last game Peralta had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. She turned to be Tipitapa's top player in her first season with the team. Peralta has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.1ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg and 51.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jahzury Anderson (F-2006) of Real Esteli. She is a forward in her first season at Real Esteli. In the last game Anderson recorded an impressive 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Real Esteli to another comfortable win outscoring UNI (#5, 0-11) 121-23. Real Esteli's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 6-5 record is not bad at all. Anderson is a newcomer at Real Esteli and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to another Real Esteli's star - guard Nelly Rapalo (173-G-1999). Rapalo scored 10 points and passed 15 assists (!!!). She was another key player of Real Esteli, helping her team with a 121-23 easy win against UNI (#5, 0-11). Real Esteli needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 5 lost games. Rapalo has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.7apg (best passer).
