Puerto Rican forward Johwen Villegas (194-F-1985, college: FIU) was the second best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 48 points he had in the Nicaraguan league. Villegas graduated from Florida International University in 2007 and started his pro career playing for the Southeastern Community College in 2003. His team Leones beat the UNI Basket 121 to 100. On top of that he also recorded 6 rebounds that evening. His team won the Puerto Rican BSN Group B Regular Season in 2023, as well as the Group A Regular Season in 2021 and 2022. Finally, Rican received a Player of the Week for Round 2 in the Uruguayan LUB in 2022.
