American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-SF -2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Brumas de Jinotega, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 23-year old player recorded a triple-double of 21 points adding also 17 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team crushed Indigenas (#8, 3-20) with 16-point margin 112-96. Brumas is placed at 2nd position in Nicaraguan LSB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Brumas will need more victories to improve their 18-5 record. In the team's last game Gordon had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Brumas' top player in his first season with the team. Former Oklahoma Christian University star has very solid stats this year. Gordon is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.6rpg), assists (5th best: 5.7apg) and averages impressive 1.9bpg,68.1% FGP and 56.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Puerto Rican Eliel Gonzalez (188-G-1995) of Leones ALMA de Managua. Gonzalez had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Leones to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UNI Basket (#9, 2-21) 121-100. Leones' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-16 record. Gonzalez is a newcomer at Leones, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.9ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 5.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was swingman Jorge Gonzalez (198-G/F-1995) of Costa Caribe Managua (#4). Gonzalez showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Gonzalez's great performance the Costa Caribe lost 77-87 to #2 ranked Brumas. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Costa Caribe needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 6 lost games. Gonzalez has a great season in Nicaragua. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (6th best) and assists with 6.8apg (2nd best).
