Boulet number one in Nicaragua LSBF for round 8

Cuban Center Yayma Boulet (193-C-1984) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Jaguares UAM Managua, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 40-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 19 rebounds, while her team crushed Tipitapa (#1, 11-2) with 17-point margin 91-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Jaguares maintains the 2nd position in Nicaraguan LSBF. They are still close to the very top. Jaguares would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. Boulet turned to be Jaguares' top player in her first season with the team. Yayma Boulet averages just after two games 23.0ppg and 12.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Shannen Peralta (F-2003) of league's leader Tipitapa Deportes Managua. Peralta had a very good evening with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Tipitapa to another comfortable win outscoring UNI (#5, 0-12) 118-38. Of course Tipitapa still keep the league's top spot. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 11 matches. Peralta is a newcomer at Tipitapa, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 9.1rpg and 3.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Tipitapa's star - Cuban guard Dairis Tornell (176-PG-1992). Tornell got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for nine rebounds . Despite Tornell's great performance the Tipitapa Deportes Managua lost 74-91 to #2 ranked Jaguares. But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Tipitapa had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 2nd lost game is hopefully really an accident. Tornell's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Tornell has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.1apg (8th best). She also has 3.0spg and a FGP of 58.6%.
