Jaguares - Brumas 83-69

Jaguares dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Brumas' 28. They outrebounded Brumas 56-31 including a 41-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jeff Allen (201-1987, college: Virginia Tech, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds. Dominican point guard Raimer Mercedes (183-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Jaguares' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Juan Herrera (187-1996) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-2001, college: Oklah.Christian) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Brumas. Four Brumas players scored in double figures.

Dominican center Jose Familia (201-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and Dominican Xavier dela Rosa (196-1991) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four UNAN de L. players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Jared Ruiz (188-1992, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Puerto Rican Ismael Cruz (190-2000, college: Indian Hills) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
