Best players of Nicaraguan LSBF round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Danielle Adams (185-C-1989) had a great game in the last round for Real Esteli and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 35-year old center had a double-double of 27 points and 19 rebounds, while her team crushed Tipitapa (#2, 11-3) with 16-point margin 84-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Real Esteli maintains the 3rd position in Nicaraguan LSBF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Real Esteli will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Adams had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. She turned to be Real Esteli's top player in her first season with the team. Danielle Adams averages just after three games 17.7ppg and 11.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Real Esteli's star - Syesha Colomer (SF). Colomer impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Adams she helped Real Esteli with another comfortable win outscoring UNI (#5, 0-13) 101-31. Real Esteli's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 9-6 record is not bad at all. Colomer is a newcomer at Real Esteli and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Jennifer Espinoza (G-2005) of Leonas de Managua (#4). Espinoza scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Espinoza's great performance the Leonas lost 44-87 to #1 ranked Jaguares. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Leonas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Espinoza has individually a great season in Nicaragua. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.8ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 10.2rpg (#1 in league).
