LSBF round 10 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader Jaguares (11-3) against second ranked Tipitapa (12-3) 97-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Jaguares. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tipitapa forced 25 Jaguares turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) who helped to win the game recording 32 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) contributed with 35 points (!!!) for the winners. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds for Jaguares. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Jaguares at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tipitapa.
An interesting game for Real Esteli (10-6) which played road game in Managua against one of their biggest challengers Leonas (3-11). Third ranked Real Esteli had an easy win 81-53. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and DAsia Chambers chipped in 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. Real Esteli's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Puerto Rican guard Paola Maldonado (176-1999) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Real Esteli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Tipitapa. Leonas lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost.
