Tornell's 32-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-PG-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Tipitapa Deportes Managua and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had the game-high 32 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for Tipitapa in her team's victory, helping them to crush Jaguares (#2, 11-3) with 19-point margin 97-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tipitapa to take over top position in the Nicaraguan LSBF. Tipitapa have a solid 12-3 record. In the team's last game Tornell had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Tipitapa's top player in her first season with the team. Tornell has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.4ppg. Tornell is in league's top in assists (4th best: 4.2apg) and averages solid 3.1spg and 58.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Yayma Boulet (193-C-1984) of league's second-best Jaguares UAM Managua. She is Cuban center in her first season at Jaguares. In the last game Boulet recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Jaguares lost that game 78-97 to slightly higher-ranked Tipitapa (#1, 12-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Jaguares still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 11-3 record is not bad at all. Boulet is a newcomer at Jaguares and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Tipitapa's star - forward Shannen Peralta (F-2003). Peralta got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. She was another key player of Tipitapa Deportes Managua, helping her team with a 97-78 easy win against #2 ranked Jaguares. Tipitapa confirms their top position in the standings. Peralta has a great season in Nicaragua. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 8.7rpg (3rd best). She also has 3.2spg and a FGP of 55.0%.
