The most exciting game of round 5 in the TBN took place in Managua. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Sebaco (2-2) to fifth ranked Academia PLAV (4-1) 67-65 on Sunday evening. Bottom-ranked Jass (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-65 loss to tenth ranked UNAN de (3-2) in Managua on Sunday evening. UNAN de moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Jass still closes the standings with five games lost.

Other games of round 5 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
La Libertad lost to undefeated Tipitapa in Managua 52-73. Sur Rivas beat Americas 2 at home 86-78. Real Esteli won against Jaguares on the opponent's court 83-80. Indigenas unfortunately lost to La Trinidad in a home game 70-82. Leones lost to undefeated San Isidro on the road 68-113. Hurricane was crushed by Brumas on its own court 90-112.



Leon - UAM Univ. 55-113

Bottom-ranked Leon (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 113-55 loss to fifteenth ranked UAM Univ. (2-2) in Leon.
