The most exciting game of round 5 in the TBN took place in Managua. Other games of round 5 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
La Libertad lost to undefeated Tipitapa in Managua 52-73. Sur Rivas beat Americas 2 at home 86-78. Real Esteli won against Jaguares on the opponent's court 83-80. Leon - UAM Univ. 55-113

There was no surprise in Managua where 13th ranked La Libertad (1-3) was crushed by leader Tipitapa (4-0) 73-52 on Sunday. Tipitapa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with San Isidro and Tigres. Loser La Libertad dropped to the fifteenth position with three games lost. They share it with Indigenas and Americas 2.

Sur Rivas - Americas 2 86-78

There was a surprise result when eighteenth ranked Sur Rivas (2-3) defeated at home higher ranked Americas 2 (1-3) 86-78 on Sunday. Sur Rivas moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Americas 2 dropped to the fifteenth position with three games lost. They share it with Indigenas and La Libertad.

Jaguares - Real Esteli 80-83

There was a minor upset in Managua where 6th ranked Jaguares (3-2) were edged by ninth ranked Real Esteli (3-2) 83-80 on Sunday. Real Esteli moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Jaguares.

Indigenas - La Trinidad 70-82

Everything could happen in Matagalpa at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked La Trinidad and 16th ranked Indigenas had identical 1-2 record. But Indigenas were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Esteli 82-70 on Sunday night. La Trinidad (2-2) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Sebaco and UAM Univ. Loser Indigenas dropped to the fifteenth position with three games lost. San Isidro - Leones 113-68
