Bottom-ranked Nicaragua U16 (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 104-58 loss to eleventh ranked Sur Rivas (5-4) in Managua on Sunday evening. Sur Rivas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Leones. Nicaragua U16 lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Leon.

Other games of round 9 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
La Libertad was defeated by Bonanza in Puerto Cabezas 92-79. San Isidro beat Hurricane at home 74-63. La Trinidad was destroyed by Brumas on the opponent's court 95-60. Indigenas were outscored by UAM Univ. in a home game 70-99. Jaguares rolled over Academia PLAV on the road 84-36. Real Esteli was defeated by Leones on its own court 47-58.



Nicaragua U16 - Sur Rivas 58-104

Bottom-ranked Nicaragua U16 (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 104-58 loss to eleventh ranked Sur Rivas (5-4) in Managua on Sunday evening. Sur Rivas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Leones. Nicaragua U16 lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. There was no surprise in Puerto Cabezas where 14th ranked La Libertad (3-4) was defeated by twelfth ranked Bonanza (4-2) 92-79 on Sunday. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bonanza. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser La Libertad keeps the fourteenth position with four games lost.
