Bottom-ranked Leon (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-51 loss to ninth ranked Leones (6-5) in Managua on Saturday evening. Leones moved-up to eighth place, which they share with UNAN de. Leon at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Leones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Managua to the arena UNAN de.

It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of UAM Univ.. La Libertad moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Sebaco and Americas 2. UAM Univ. at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. La Libertad will play against Jass (#19) in Managua in the next round where they are favorite. UAM Univ. will play at home against Brumas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Matagalpa, where higher ranked UNAN de (6-5) lost to seventeenth ranked Indigenas (4-7) in a road game 88-105 on Saturday. Indigenas moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Real Esteli. Loser UNAN de M. keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Leones. Indigenas will meet higher ranked Bonanza (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UNAN de's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Managua Leones.

Tipitapa crushed Hurricane in Managua 99-58. Americas 2 beat Jass at home 67-58. Sur Rivas were destroyed by Sebaco on the opponent's court 108-68. San Isidro outscored La Trinidad in a home game 96-59.

No shocking result in a game in Managua where fourteenth ranked Americas 2 (4-6) defeated 19th ranked Jass (2-9) 67-58 on Saturday. Americas 2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Sebaco and La Libertad. Loser Jass dropped to the eighteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Hurricane.
