TBN Round 22 (Regular Season): UAM Univ. edge Tigres by three points

The most exciting game of round 22 in the TBN took place in Corinto. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Tigres (15-4) to eighth ranked UAM Univ. (11-4) 80-77 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. UAM Univ. moved-up to seventh place. Tigres at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Matagalpa. First ranked San Isidro faced their biggest opponent Tipitapa. Host San Isidro (17-1) defeated guests from Managua (15-3) 95-80. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Tipitapa. San Isidro have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Tipitapa at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost.
Nicaragua U16 can celebrate finally their first win this season after 16 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Leon (0-17) 66-65 on Sunday. Nicaragua U16 (1-16) left bottom position moving up to twentieth place. It was Leon's seventeenth loss in a row. They still close the standings.

Jaguares crushed Bonanza in Managua 90-58. Sebaco beat Americas 2 at home 77-76. La Libertad was destroyed by Brumas on the opponent's court 140-56. La Trinidad managed to outperform Real Esteli in a home game 81-76. Hurricane recorded a loss to UNAN de on the road 88-71. Leones were defeated by Academia PLAV on its own court 63-66.



Nicaragua U16 - Leon 66-65

Nicaragua U16 can celebrate finally their first win this season after 16 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Leon (0-17) 66-65 on Sunday. Nicaragua U16 (1-16) left bottom position moving up to twentieth place. It was Leon's seventeenth loss in a row. They still close the standings.

Bonanza - Jaguares 58-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Bonanza's (11-5) home loss to fifth ranked Jaguares (13-5) 58-90 on Sunday. Jaguares have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-5 record. Loser Bonanza dropped to the eighth place with five games lost.
