Brumas de Jinotega conquer Torneo Carlos Ulloa title

Brumas de Jinotega claimed the Torneo Carlos Ulloa in Memoriam title. They defeated Jaguares 75-72 in overtime in the second game of the Finals to complete the sweep. Juan Herrera (187-SG-1996) stepped up with 21 points and 11 rebounds to pace the winners. He was named the Finals MVP. Jaguares eked out a 37-36 halftime advantage. But Brumas used a 19-13 rally in the third term to surge ahead. Jaguares held Brumas to just 11 points in the fourth period to force overtime. But Brumas outscored the hosts 9-6 in the extra period to snatch the win. Neyton Padilla (F-2004) produced 17 points for the winners. Vansdell Thomas (185-G-1986) replied with 17 points for Jaguares.
