Leones sign Lorenzo Martinez, ex Santa Ana

Lorenzo Martinez

Leones ALMA de Managua signed 28-year old American power forward Lorenzo Martinez (206cm-104kg-1997, college: Southwestern, KS). He played this summer at MC El Brasil Santa Ana in Salvadorean Liga MB. In 6 games just recently he had 6.2ppg, 11.7rpg and 1.8apg.
He has played professionally in Albania (Vllaznia) and Nicaragua (Brumas and Tigres). His team made it to the El Salvador Liga Mayor Apertura Semifinals in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSB Honorable Mention in 2023.
Martinez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top international summer league on the market.
He graduated from Southwestern College, KS in 2020 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player. Martinez played also for Solano Community College for 2 years.
