Zambrana number one in Nicaragua LSB for round 6

Puerto Rican Forward Xavier Zambrana (193-F-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for Real Esteli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, seven rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Leones (#5, 2-3) with 18-point margin 92-74. Real Esteli maintains the 6th position in Nicaraguan LSB. Real Esteli is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Zambrana had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Real Esteli's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier Zambrana has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.2rpg) and assists (7th best: 4.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Real Esteli's star - young international Jensen Campbell (198-C/F-1998). Campbell had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Zambrana he helped Real Esteli with another comfortable win 92-74 over slightly higher-ranked Leones (#5, 2-3) being unquestionably team leader. Real Esteli's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Campbell is one of the most experienced players at Real Esteli and similarly like Xavier Zambrana has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.2ppg (#7). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. Franklyn Batista of Flecheros de Matagalpa (#4). Batista scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Batista's great performance the Flecheros lost 74-96 to #1 ranked Jaguares. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Flecheros ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Batista could help Flecheros to bring them higher in the standings. Batista has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (7th best).
