27-year old Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-G-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Jaguares de la UAM and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 37 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Jaguares in his team's victory, helping them to crush Leones (#5, 4-6) with 17-point margin 95-78. It allowed Jaguares to consolidate first place in the Nicaraguan league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Jaguares keeps a perfect 10-0 record. In the team's last game Lopez had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He turned to be Jaguares' top player in his first season with the team. University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lopez is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.7ppg), assists (3rd best: 6.4apg) and averages solid 54.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jared Ruiz (188-SF-1992) of Real Esteli. He is naturalized Puerto Rican in his first season at Real Esteli. In the last game Ruiz recorded an impressive 37 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Real Esteli to another comfortable win 112-97 over the lower-ranked Tigres (#7, 2-9) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Real Esteli to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Ruiz is a newcomer at Real Esteli and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.3rpg and 6.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Miguel Bolivar (205-C-1992) of Leones ALMA de Managua (#5). Bolivar showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Bolivar's great performance the Leones lost 78-95 to the league's current leader Jaguares (#1, 10-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Leones ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bolivar could help Leones to bring them higher in the standings. Bolivar has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.1rpg (#1 in league).
