Best players of Nicaraguan LSBF round 5

Experienced American-Salvadorean Emily Tevez (175-SG-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Real Esteli and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 32-year old shooting guard had the game-high 19 points for Real Esteli in her team's victory, helping them to beat Nicaragua Femenil (#2, 3-2) 79-65. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Real Esteli to consolidate first place in the Nicaraguan LSBF. Real Esteli have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Tevez had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. She turned to be Real Esteli's top player in her first season with the team. Notre Dame de Namur University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tevez is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.4ppg), assists (6th best: 3.4apg) and averages solid 5.4spg,61.5% FGP and 58.8% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Tevez played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Anyia Pride (185-C-1998, agency: Ladies 1st) of second-ranked Nicaragua Femenil. Pride impressed basketball fans with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Nicaragua Femenil lost that game 65-79 to slightly higher-ranked Real Esteli (#1, 4-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Nicaragua Femenil still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Pride is a newcomer at Nicaragua Femenil and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Real Esteli's star - Honduran Nelly Rapalo (173-G-1999). Rapalo showcased her all-around game by recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Real Esteli, helping her team with a 79-65 easy win against #2 ranked Nicaragua Femenil. Real Esteli confirms their top position in the standings. Rapalo has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.4ppg (5th best) and assists with 6.2apg (best passer).
