Ruiz number one in Nicaragua LSB for round 15

Naturalized Puerto Rican Jared Ruiz (188-SF-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for Real Esteli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Tigres (#7, 3-14) with 25-point margin 119-94. Real Esteli is placed at 3rd position in Nicaraguan LSB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Real Esteli will need more victories to improve their 9-7 record. In the team's last game Ruiz had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Real Esteli's top player in his first season with the team. Jared Ruiz has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.1ppg), assists (6th best: 5.5apg) and averages impressive 57.4% FGP and 55.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was another Real Esteli's star - young American Anthony Hilliard (195-G/F-1986, agency: Allstars Agency). Hilliard had a very good evening with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Ruiz he helped Real Esteli with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tigres (#7, 3-14) 119-94. This victory allowed Real Esteli to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 9-7 record is not bad at all. Hilliard is a newcomer at Real Esteli, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#7).

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Alejandro Jaime (G-2002) of Leones ALMA de Managua (#6). Jaime scored 26 points. Despite Jaime's great performance the Leones lost 95-103 to the higher-ranked Jaguares (#1, 14-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Jaime has a very solid season. In 16 games in Nicaragua he scored 6.8ppg.
