Nicaragua win XII Central American Games- November 1, 2025The XII Central American Games Guatemala 2025 men's basketball tournament showcased the best of regional talent, culminating with Nicaragua claiming the gold medal after a dominant campaign. Panama secured the silver, while Belize earned the bronze in a competitive field that highlighted the growing strength of Central American basketball. The tournament's All-Central America Starting Five featured Jason Orosco (190-G-2007) (Belize), Nishon Thomas (F-2008) (Nicaragua), Jonny Murillo (Panama), Emiliano Catalan (Guatemala), and Joost West (180-PG-2008) (Nicaragua), who was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP). He top-scored with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the last game when Nicaragua overcame Panama 78-73.
