American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and Renaldo Balkman chipped in 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican center Antonio Gordon (206-2001, college: Oklah.Christian) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Wilfredo Rodriguez (198-1994, college: Binghamton) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
