Pride number one in Nicaragua LSBF for round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Anyia Pride (185-C-1998, agency: Ladies 1st) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Nicaragua Femenil, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds, while her team edged out Real Esteli (#2, 6-3) 81-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Nicaragua Femenil to take over top position in the Nicaraguan LSBF. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Nicaragua Femenil has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Pride had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Former Shawnee State University star has very solid stats this year. Pride is in league's top in points (8th best: 11.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.5rpg), assists (6th best: 3.5apg) and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Emily Tevez (175-SG-1993) of league's second-best Real Esteli. Tevez had a very good evening with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course she led Real Esteli to another comfortable win outscoring Leonas (#4, 0-9) 92-54. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Real Esteli consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Tevez is a newcomer at Real Esteli, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#3). She also recorded 3.4 assists per game. Former Notre Dame de Namur University star Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Real Esteli's star - Honduran guard Nelly Rapalo (173-G-1999). Rapalo showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. Despite Rapalo's great performance the Real Esteli lost 78-81 to #1 ranked Nicaragua Femenil. But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Real Esteli needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Rapalo has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.0ppg (5th best) and assists with 6.6apg (best passer).
