Best players of Nicaraguan LSBF round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

American Jade Compton (178-F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Real Esteli and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while her team beat Nicaragua Femenil (#2, 7-3) 87-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Real Esteli to consolidate first place in the Nicaraguan LSBF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Real Esteli has a very solid 8-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Compton turned to be Real Esteli's top player in her first season with the team. Jade Compton averages just after two games 28.0ppg and 10.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Anyia Pride (185-C-1998, agency: Ladies 1st) of second-ranked Nicaragua Femenil. Pride impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Nicaragua Femenil lost that game 76-87 to slightly higher-ranked Real Esteli (#1, 8-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Nicaragua Femenil still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Pride is a newcomer at Nicaragua Femenil and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.3ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 10.6rpg and 3.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was Cuban Yayma Boulet (193-C-1984) of Jaguares UAM Managua (#3). Boulet scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Boulet's great performance the Jaguares lost 79-84 to #1 ranked Real Esteli. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Jaguares needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Boulet has a very solid season. In 4 games in Nicaragua she scored 18.8ppg.
