Hernandez's double-double lands him TBN Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Luder Hernandez

30-year old power forward Luder Hernandez (195-PF-1995) had a great game in the last round for La Trinidad and receives a Hoops Agents TBN Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Mineros (#11, 2-2) 69-76. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. La Trinidad maintains the 14th position in Nicaraguan TBN. La Trinidad is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 3 games. In the team's last game Hernandez had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at La Trinidad, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Hernandez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 12.0rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Wilson Batista (190-SF-2003) of Real Esteli. He is former international in his first season at Real Esteli. In the last game Batista recorded an impressive 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Real Esteli to another comfortable win outscoring UNAN de M. (#22, 0-4) 105-65. Real Esteli's 4th position in the standings has not changed. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Batista is one of the most experienced players at Real Esteli and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#7). He also registered 6.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Juan Morales of Leon (#17). Morales scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Leon, leading his team to a 65-46 easy win against Nicaragua U16 (#21, 0-4). Leon can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Morales has a very solid season. In 4 games in Nicaragua he scored 15.5ppg.
