Andrews number one in Nicaraguan TBN for round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

International Forward Troy Andrews (196-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for Americas 2, receiving a Hoops Agents TBN Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 21 rebounds, while his team outclassed Leon (#18, 2-7) with 51-point margin 123-72. Americas 2 is placed at 8th position in Nicaraguan TBN. Americas 2 is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Andrews just recently signed at Americas 2, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Troy Andrews has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.8ppg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 56.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Americas 2's star - Jovanni Serrano. Serrano had a very good evening with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Andrews he helped Americas 2 with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Leon (#18, 2-7) 123-72. This victory allowed Americas 2 to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Serrano is a newcomer at Americas 2, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#8).

Third on the list of top players last round was former international Wilson Batista (190-SF-2003) of Real Esteli (#6). Batista showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Real Esteli, leading his team to a 103-63 easy win against the lower-ranked Sebaco (#15, 2-5). Real Esteli is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Batista has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.6ppg (5th best) and assists with 5.0apg (5th best). He also has 2.4spg, a FGP of 75.0% and 3PT: 50.0%.
