Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Halcones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Halcones smashed bottom-ranked Toros in Panama City 94-63. Halcones dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Toros' 36. They outrebounded Toros 44-23 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Halcones looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Christophe Massie (206-77, college: Memphis) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. point guard Joel Munoz (183-80) responded with 14 points and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Halcones have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Correcaminos. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost.
Leading Correcaminos (6-2) recorded its second loss in Colon. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Panteras (5-3) 80-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Correcaminos. The winners were led by B Martinez (202) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 blocks and Luis Dinolis supported him with 25 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Even 25 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. Panteras moved-up to third place. Defending champion Correcaminos still keep top position with two games lost. They share it with Universitarios.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Aguilas (4-4) against fifth ranked Caballos (3-5) on Saturday night. Host Aguilas were crushed by Caballos in Panama City 94-72. The best player for the winners was Ike Okoye who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Daniel King produced 14 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caballos maintains fifth position with 3-5 record. Loser Aguilas dropped to the fourth place with four games lost.
