NATE BUTLER LIND

29-year old Nate Butler Lind (198-SF-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Caballos and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 21 points adding four rebounds and four assists for Caballos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Atletico Nacional (#5, 5-8) 85-80. Caballos maintains the 3rd position in Panamanian league. Caballos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-6 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Butler Lind as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Nate Butler Lind averages this season 11.2ppg and 6.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Gil Atencio (202-PF-96) of Toros. He is a forward in his first season at Toros. In the last game Atencio recorded impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Toros lost that game 73-102 to the higher-ranked Universitarios (#1, 10-3). Toros are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Toros managed to get this year. Atencio is a newcomer at Toros and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Todd Hughes (190-G-95) of Atletico Nacional (#5). Hughes showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, five rebounds and six assists in the last round. Despite Hughes' great performance Atletico Nacional lost 80-85 to slightly higher-ranked Caballos (#3, 7-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Atletico Nacional not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hughes could try to bring Atletico Nacional's a little bit higher in the standings. Hughes has a very solid season. In 3 games in Panama he scored 18.3ppg. Hughes attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Brayan Martinez (203-F/C-91) of Panteras - 15 points and 17 rebounds
5. Christophe Massie (206-C-77) of Universitarios - 17 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Benito Santiago (198-F-89) of Panteras - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Angel Matias (193-F-92) of Caballos - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Bradley Tumer (183-PG-89) of Universitarios - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Jonathan King (193-SF-90) of Atletico Nacional - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Kwame Alexander (201-F/C-90) of Universitarios - 16 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
