Machore's double-double lands him LPB U21 Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Isaac Machore put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Panteras and receives a Hoops Agents LPB U21 Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Dragones (#6, 1-3) 88-84. Thanks to this victory Panteras moved-up to the 5th position in Panamanian LPB U21. Panteras is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Machore has many years of experience at Panteras, through which he has constantly improved. Machore has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.3ppg and is league's best passer with 7.3apg. Machore is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.3rpg) and averages solid 2.5spg.

Second best performed player last round was Jesus Lombardo (201-C) of Dragones. He is a center in his first season at Dragones. In the last game Lombardo recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Dragones was edged by Panteras (2-2) 88-84. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Lombardo is one of the most experienced players at Dragones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jose Montenegro (191-SG-98) of Caballos (#4). Montenegro showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, eighteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Caballos, leading his team to a 62-51 win against Toros (#7, 0-4). Caballos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Montenegro has a great season in Panama. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (6th best), rebounds with 10.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.0apg (6th best).
