Damar Wilson
Franchesco Controny had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Univ.West, receiving a Hoops Agents LPB U21 Player of the Week award for round 4.
The player was the main contributor (30 points, six rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Caballos (#4, 2-2) 88-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Univ.West to take over top position in the Panamanian LPB U21. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Univ.West has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Controny had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Univ.West, through which he has constantly improved. Franchesco Controny has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg), assists (5th best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg.
The second best player in last round's games was Damar Wilson (G) of Toros. Wilson had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Toros lost that game 67-78 to the higher-ranked Atletico (#2, 3-1). Toros are still at the very bottom. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Wilson is one of the most experienced players at Toros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#7). He also registered 7.3 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was Oscar Zephyrine (190-SF) of league's second-best Atletico. Zephyrine scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Atletico, leading his team to a 82-80 win against the lower-ranked Panteras (#5, 2-2). Atletico needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Zephyrine has a great season in Panama. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.5apg (9th best).

4. Isaac Machore) of Panteras - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
