Federico Barrera joins Panteras

Club Deportivo Panteras (LPB) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old center Federico Barrera (206cm-105kg). The last time (20) he played at Toros in Panamanian LPB league. Barrera missed last season due to covid-19 restrictions and had longer break from professional basketball.
He was a member of Panamanian U22 National Team back in 2003.
Barrera has played previously professionally also in Costa Rica (Limon Sharks and Perez Zeledon) and Panama (Magnates, Grillos, Atletico and Halcones).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Panteras.
On Barrera: Good physical specimen with broad shoulders and athletic frame. Is not a polished player but has big hands and natural strength. Once he develops a more consistent work ethic; he could become a solid center.
