Lloreda number one in Panama for round 6

Center Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Correcaminos, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 41-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Toros (#7, 0-6) with 19-point margin 100-81. It allowed Correcaminos to take over top position in the Panamanian LPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Correcaminos already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Lloreda turned to be Correcaminos' top player in his first season with the team. Former Louisiana State University star has very solid stats this year. Lloreda is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.8ppg) and averages impressive 60.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Robert Martinez (185-PG-91) of league's second-best Atletico Nacional. Martinez had a very good evening with 38 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Atletico Nacional cruised to a 99-92 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Caballos (#6, 1-4). Despite this victory Atletico Nacional slide down in the standings to 2nd position. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Martinez is a newcomer at Atletico Nacional, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#6). He also recorded 3.4 assists per game. Former Our Lady of the Lake University star Martinez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was Colombian center John Hernandez (207-C-84) of Toros (#7). Hernandez scored 16 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Hernandez's great performance Toros lost 67-70 to the higher-ranked Panteras (#4, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Hernandez has a very solid season. In 2 games in Panama he scored 16.0ppg.
