CJ Rodriguez
Experienced Venezuelan CJ Rodriguez (188-PG-94, college: S.Nazarene) had a very impressive game in the last round for Caballos and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 32-year old center got a double-double of 18 points and eleven assists, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Toros (#7, 0-9) with 19-point margin 81-62. Caballos maintains the 6th position in Panamanian LPB. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Caballos have already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Rodriguez had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Caballos' top player in his first season with the team. Carlos Rodriguez averages just after two games 15.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 7.5apg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 41-year old center Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) of league's best team Correcaminos. Lloreda impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Correcaminos was edged by slightly lower-ranked Universitarios (#2, 6-2) 87-83. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Correcaminos still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 7-2 record. Lloreda is a newcomer at Correcaminos and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#6). He also registered 14.9 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Colombian John Hernandez (207-C-84) of Toros (#7). Hernandez showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, sixteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Hernandez's great performance Toros lost 62-81 to slightly higher-ranked Caballos (#6, 2-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Toros can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 9 games. Hernandez has individually a great season in Panama. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.8rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
