Lloreda's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

41-year old center Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Correcaminos and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Toros (#7, 0-10) with 21-point margin 68-47. It allowed Correcaminos to consolidate first place in the Panamanian league. Correcaminos have a solid 8-2 record. Lloreda turned to be Correcaminos' top player in his first season with the team. Louisiana State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lloreda is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.4ppg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Troy Jones (201-F-92) of league's second-best Universitarios. He is American forward in his first season at Universitarios. In the last game Jones recorded impressive 21 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Universitarios to edge the lower-ranked Caballos (#6, 2-8) by 5 points 76-71. Universitarios' second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Jones is a newcomer at Universitarios and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Correcaminos' star - guard Adriano Barreras (186-G-89). Barreras scored 19 points and passed five assists. He was another key player of Correcaminos, helping his team with a 68-47 easy win against Toros (#7, 0-10). Correcaminos confirms their top position in the standings. The season just started for Barreras as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
