Gil Atencio (ex Espanol O.) is a newcomer at Caballos

Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce (LPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Panamanian power forward Gil Atencio (202cm-1996, college: St.Clair). Atencio played this summer at CD Espanol Osorno in Chilean LNB league, but left. In only one LNB 2 game just recently he recorded very impressive stats: 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. The last season he played at Club Deportes Puerto Varas (LNB) in Chile where in three games he averaged 8.3ppg and 4.7rpg.
He has played previously for two other Panama teams: Toros and Dragones.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Panamanian LPB Honorable Mention in 2020.
Atencio graduated from St. Clair College in 2018 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
