POSTED BY: Robert OConnell
In 2001 he was drafted by Oklahoma Storm (USBL) in fifth round (41st overall). Hicks graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and it will be his 23rd (!!!) season in pro basketball. He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. Hicks is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (San Martin), Italy (Pesaro, Pistoia, Montecatini, Roseto and Basket Barcellona), Mexico, Paraguay (Sol de America and Olimpia), Puerto Rico (Gallitos and Manati), Uruguay (Hicksbraica and Malvin), Venezuela (Marinos and Caciques) and Panama (Rio Abajo, Toros, Halcones and Correcaminos). He was selected to Latinbasket.com Uruguayan LUB All-Imports Team back in 2015, 2016 and 2017. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Caballos.
