Grant Alejandro gets MVP of the Week award for Panamanian LPB (by Hoops Agents)

Grant Alejandro (199-SF-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Halcones and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 29-year old had the game-high 34 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Halcones in his team's victory, helping them to crush Universitarios (#5, 1-4) with 16-point margin 75-59. Halcones maintains the 4th position in Panamanian LPB. Halcones is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Alejandro had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Halcones' top player in his first season with the team. Alejandro has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.6ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.4rpg) and averages solid 50.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young shooting guard Lucas Chavez (187-SG-1995) of Centinelas. Chavez impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Centinelas was edged by Lobos (3-1) 73-69. The third best performed player last round was Josimar Blenman (200-C/F-1989) of top-ranked Atletico Nacional. Blenman scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Atletico Nacional, leading his team to a 110-55 easy win against #4 ranked Halcones in a game of the week. Atletico Nacional started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Blenman turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Blenman has a very solid season. In 5 games in Panama he scored 7.6ppg.
