Oglivie comes back to Dorados

Ernesto Oglivie

Chihuahua Dorados (LBE) have strengthened their roster with the addition of Ernesto Oglivie, an experienced 34-year-old Panamanian power forward standing at 203cm. This marks his comeback to Dorados, as he has previously played for the team. Oglivie most recently played for Hebraica in the Uruguayan LUB league, where he averaged 14.9ppg, 7.6rpg, and 1.7apg in 15 games last season. He also had an impressive performance in the 4 games he played in the BCL Americas, averaging 15.3ppg and 9.3rpg.
Oglivie represented Panama at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers last year. His team reached the Semifinals and his stats for the event were as follows: 10 games played, averaging 15.0 points per game, 6.9 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 1.0 spg. He had a field goal percentage (FGP) of 54.1%, a three-point percentage (3PT) of 38.9%, and a free throw percentage (FT) of 51.1%.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in various countries. These include Argentina (Ferro), Chile (Concepcion), Colombia (Titanes), Panama (Universitarios, Correcaminos, Caballos, and Los Tigres), Paraguay (Sol de America), Uruguay (Trouville), Mexico (Panteras, Abejas, Mineros, Capitanes, and Astros), El Salvador (San Marcos and Metapan), and Ecuador (ComuniKT).
In 2023, his team won the Colombian LPB Apertura Group A Regular Season, earning them several awards. In 2022, he was honored with the Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Apertura Player of the Year and Import Player of the Year awards.
