Criollos de Caguas (BSN) agreed terms with 31-year old center Akil Mitchell (206cm-106kg-1992, college: Virginia).

Mitchell will be their Latin American import since he owns a Panamanian passport.

He played last season for Humacao (now Caguas) averaging 16.4 points and 6.7 rebounds.

Caguas can sign up to three imports due to their expansion agreement with BSN. As soon as they make the playoffs, they lose that right the next year.
