Caribbean Storm Islands (Liga Wplay) inked 30-year old Panamanian 199cm small forward Alejandro Grant for upcoming season. Grant is the second import player in the roster as USA Devin Funchess signed here earlier.
He played last summer at Leones in Peruvian LBL league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. He also played for San Salvador BC in Salvadorean Liga MB where in 24 games he averaged impressive 17.9ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.5spg. Grant contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league. They also played in the Cup final. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
He represented Panama at the Central American Games in Managua (Nicaragua) seven years ago.
Grant is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Mexico (Soles and Angeles), Colombia (Piratas), Panama (Rio Abajo, Correcaminos, Caballos, Panteras and Halcones) and El Salvador (Metapan).
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com El Salvador Liga Mayor Torneo Apertura All-Imports Team in 2022.
