Lemon's 26 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

Swingman Joshua Lemon (180-G/F) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Dragones de Don Bosco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds for Dragones in his team's victory, helping them to beat Correcaminos (#3, 1-1) 85-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Dragones moved-up to the 1st position in Panamanian league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Dragones won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Lemon had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dragones' top player in his first season with the team.

Second best performed player last round was Jhonny Murillo of Scorpions de Union Basketball. He is a in his first season at Union Scorpions. In the last game Murillo recorded an impressive 31 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Union Scorpions lost that game 67-101 to Atletico Nacional (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Murillo is a newcomer at Union Scorpions and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#3).

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Amilcar Sanchez (191-G/F-2001) of league's second-best Toros de Chiriqui David. Sanchez got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was a key player of Toros, leading his team to a 110-67 easy win against Panteras (#5, 0-2). Toros has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Sanchez also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Sanchez has a great season in Panama. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.5ppg (best scorer).
