Olimpia got to a quick start. They stormed to a 23:6 lead ten minutes into the game. Libertad picked up the tempo in the next periods. They pulled within 16 points at halftime. Libertad got within 12 points at the final intermission. They sank 27 points in the fourth term but could not avoid the defeat. Luis Ljubetic (181-PG-87) provided 16 points for the champions. Daniel Hure (200-PF-85) responded with 21 points for Libertad. Daniel Perez (190-G/F-84) had 11 points in the loss. Now the League will hold the Final to determine the Absolute Champions. The game is scheduled for November 17th.

Libertad conquered Metropolitano Apertura title in Paraguay. In the Final series they beat Sportivo Luqueno 2-1 posting a decisive 100-85 win last night. Libertad grabbed an early 10-point lead and enjoyed a 25-15 run in the first period. Sportivo Luqueno managed to reduce to 3 at the halftime, while Libertad replied with a 27-20 rally in the third period to take the double-digit lead after 30 minutes. They added a final 28-23 rally in the last stanza to seal the victory. Carlos Luis Vallejos (183-G-92) top-scored for the winners with 29 points, while Federico Mellone (193-F/G-85) notched 30 in a loss.
