San Jose are crowned Metro League Clausura champions. They beat Olimpia in Game 4 to clinch the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by San Jose. Olimpia managed to win fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Scott Rogers (196, college: Trine) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Olimpia Kings beats San Jose 3-1 in the Finals to clinch the title in Paraguay - Jul 13, 2019
Olimpia Kings defeated Deportivo San Jose 86-84 as visitors in Game 3 (July 8th) and then went on to beat them 77-69 in overtime as hosts in Game 4 (July 11th), to clinch its 34th Metropolitan League title in Paraguay, according to a press release by the Paraguayan Basketball Confederation that included no specific game stats.
Paraguayan star Guillermo Araujo (204-C-82, agency: Pro Sports) was named Most Valuable Player for his contribution to Olimpia's success, while his teammate Edgar Riveros (184-PG-91) was the top scorer of the league. Victor Rivero, of team Libertad, was the top 3-point shooter.
In Game 4, Scott Rodgers (191-PG-87, college: Drexel) scored 34 points for San Jose but was unable to force a decisive fifth game for the trophy.
