Sol de America celebrated Metro League Clausura title. They beat Libertad on Sunday to claim the trophy. Jazmin Mercado (171-G-89) nailed 20 points, while Astrid Huttemann (180-F-92, college: Union, TN) scored 18 points to lead the champions. Sol de America posted a 16:13 lead after the opening quarter. They extended the margin at 6-point mark at halftime 31:25. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term. However Sol de America went on a 24:11 run in the fourth quarter and rallied to the win. Carolina Caraves finished with 15 points, while Tamara Insfran contributed 14 points in the victory. Paloma Niz (175-F-99) answered with 15 points for Libertad. Karina Vega (179-F/G-89) had 16 points in the defeat.
