Sarubbi number one in Paraguay LNB for round 8

International Point guard Ricardo Sarubbi (184-PG-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out San Alfonso (#7, 2-8) 94-92. Thanks to this victory Felix Perez moved-up to the 5th position in Paraguayan LNB. Felix Perez is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Sarubbi had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Felix Perez's top player in his first season with the team. Ricardo Sarubbi has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 4.6apg) and averages impressive 56.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Chilean Kevin Rojas (1997) of Capiata Bulls. Rojas had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Capiata lost that game 87-98 to slightly higher-ranked Campo Alto (#6, 4-6). Capiata are still at the very bottom. 10 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Rojas is a newcomer at Capiata, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.0rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Chilean guard Diego Silva (186-PG-1993) of Colonias Gold (#3). Silva showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Silva's great performance the Colonias lost 67-70 to #2 ranked Olimpia K.. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Colonias needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Silva has a great season in Paraguay. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.8ppg (4th best). He also has a FGP of 60.4% and 3PT: 44.2%.
