Davis number one in Paraguay LNB for round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

U.S. Virgin Islands Forward Jemal Davis (205-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for Deportivo Amambay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The player was the main contributor (19 points, three rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass San Alfonso (#7, 2-10) with 34-point margin 101-67. Amambay maintains the 4th position in Paraguayan LNB. Amambay is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Amambay's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of North Carolina - Asheville star has very solid stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 5.5rpg) and averages impressive 68.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Chilean Kevin Rojas (1997) of Capiata Bulls. Rojas had a very good evening with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Capiata lost that game 76-88 to the higher-ranked Felix Perez (#5, 5-6). Capiata are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Rojas is a newcomer at Capiata, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.9rpg and 3.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Amambay's star - Brazilian Edegar Alvarenga. Alvarenga scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was another key player of Deportivo Amambay, helping his team with a 101-67 easy win against the lower-ranked San Alfonso (#7, 2-10). Amambay needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 5 lost games. Alvarenga has a very solid season. In 11 games in Paraguay he scored 8.3ppg. He also has 5.0rpg, 2.2spg and a FGP of 58.6%. Edegar Alvarenga has also Paraguayan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
