In an unbelievable night of Chelo Bobadilla 32 points CERRO30 took over DINAMO30.
CERRO30 came from 5 losses in a row, defeating DINAMO30 one of the title contenders of this
IV MAXI 30 edition-

Jose Jimenez from CERRO dished 14 assists and clinched 21 points through four 3 pointers
and a couple of fast breaks. Eladio Carrillo also played a great game under the rings saving
12rebounds for his team even though converted 0 points but deflected many opponents shots.

For DINAMO30 Juan Chilavert did not show up for the game due to ankle injury. However the rest of the
team was presen but simply could not find their game all night long.

Renzo Orue (198-F/C-83) Cesar Marecos (191-F) and even Pablo LA TOPADORA Cabrera with their
physical game could not dominate a very small CERROs line up.

CERRO30 (1-5) lost all his chances the previous game against San Jose while losing by 12 points after
winning by 18 at the end of 3rd quarter could not stop Sergio Lopez (189-G/F-86) 39 neither Sergio Aceval (180-G-78) 39 pts
from an incredibly come back.

EXA SAN JOSE30 is leading the SEMI FINALS with a (4-1) record plus its bonus point by winning the
previous stage.

CNC30 and EXA SANJOSE are in the best spots to reach the SUPER FINAL NBA STYLE but there are still
4 games to be played by each team except CERRO who already played 6 out of 9 games

The semifinals are set at the Metropolitano de Basquetbol Masculino. All four teams swept their Quarterfinal series to win beat the opponents with the same 3-0 leads. San Jose overcame Campoalto 87-80, while Olimpia smashed Luqueno 118-66. Sol de America posted a 95-64 win over Ciudad Nueva and Felix Perez Cardozo outscored Libertad 85-70.   [read more]

Four teams grabbed 2-0 leads in the Quarterfinal stage of the Metropolitano Masculino de Basquetbol Torneo Apertura 2018. San Jose beat Campo Alto 79-56 in the opener and added an 81-66 win in game 2. Olimpia demolished Luqueno 127-51 in the first game and celebrated a 103-57 win in game 2. Sol de America posted a 107-88 victory in the first game against Ciudad Nueva and added a 93-87 victory in the second appearance.
