Sol de America Asuncion (Metropolitan League) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Venezuelan international point guard Roselis Silva (166-91, college: Arkansas Tech). She moved there from Araski in Spanish LFB league where she started the season. In 29 games she recorded 7.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.6apg and 2.3spg (in top 5) this season. Silva helped them to make it to the semifinals. The last season she played at Azkoitia (also in LFB). In 23 games she averaged impressive 15.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.3apg and 4.5spg (leader !!!). Great season indeed as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Defensive Player of the Year and voted to All-Imports Team and voted to Honorable Mention.
Silva won Venezuelan LINABAFE championship title in 2014.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Silva has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2008 and previously for U18 National Team between 2006 and 2008.
She also represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes seventeen years ago. But her stats at that event were not that remarkable as she did not score anything.
Silva has played also professionally for other Venezuelan teams like Escuela Pedagogica de Baloncesto and Anzoategui.
She attended Arkansas Tech until 2014 and it is her third season in pro basketball.
